If you were to wear a baselayer below this jacket the sub zero temperatures should be no problem. The more you layer clothing the warmer you'll keep – also watch out for your extremities as you lose most of your body heat from your head!

This is a toughy but as with most things it's personal. Down is known for lightweight warmth and can be wrapped in a waterproof shell, like in the Yellowband or Gotham. Down is more expensive than synthetic insulation but for winter down is a better option. The Triclimates are an all rounder and can be stripped out for use as a shell jacket in warmer weather. Down is not good in the wet so make sure that it's covered by a seam sealed shell or fabric. Give us a call for further info – 01179113869
Hi, thanks for the reply. How does it compare (warm-wise) to down jackets, like the Gotham or the Yellowband parka? Each jacket seems to be the "perfect" solution for winter usage, but they are quite different from each other.
Hi, The Evolution Triclimate is a warm jacket as it boasts a 200 weight fleece below a waterproof and breathable shell. It's a perfect jacket for British winter.
How warm is that jacket? It does not look like a very warm jacket for cold winter days…
Hi, unfortunately we have no versions of the 2011 in stock to check against. All we can say is that the current 2012 Evolution Triclimate has an attached hood which can be rolled away into the collar.
