Can this be performed less invasive ? Yikes !! I have issues t-5 thru t-7 and have been told by two docs I need surgery . Constant stabbing pain and insane stiffness 24/7 for 20 years now.
Incision through rib is risky! There is a protracted malpractice suit in Malaysia of a patient ending as a quadriplegic using abdominal-rib surgical technic in attempt to correct a spinal stenosis. BEWARE! 12-08-2019
They will have a very, very long recovery period.
Great surgical footage completely wasted by a half-ass narrative which completely failed to explain even the basics of what was going on during the surgery. Come on guys, you can do better than this!

Oh my goodness…it takes a special doctor to be able to do this. I have gone through 'all the loops' (physical therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic, anti-inflame drugs, cupping and yoga) for a few years to avoid this surgery. My primary care Doctor will not prescribe pain medication. They think everyone is a 'drug addict'. I cannot further endure the excruciating pain this causes. I want the surgery. It is my only hope. Do they replace the part of the rib they take out? Or do they just throw it away? Oh my goodness. Thank you for anesthesia and pain medications!
