Why make 55 million masks a day when there's only 80 million people on this island, are we exporting them. I thought they all came from China anyway, how is it cost effective? And folk aren't wearing masks anymore anyway. WTF

Some companies, organizations and people focus on the wrong way about decomposing time on plastics. It´s synthetic so it is not biodegradable. If you have a big plastic there will be maybe some animals able to eat it, but if you have a tiny one there will be many of them able to eat it. So, seeing a long period of time to decompose a negative point is right the opposite, it´s a huge advantage for us and life in general, because decomposition is almost always by a physic way, it is, fragmenting into small microplastics. A plastic bag is a problem, but a decomposed/fragmented bag is a million of bigger problems. You can pick up a plastic bag, but you can´t do it with the millions fragments generated by the action of sunlight and temeperature. They will spread and many animals will be able to enter them into the trophic net. Imagine a waterbottle would decompose in 1 day. That would be crazy. So please, don´t use a long time to make people think it´s worse as it isn´t. And regarding masks… I say a proper disposal procedure should had been planned right even before the first ones landed. We have two problems: they are synthetic, but they are biological hazard waste. I would have considered a grave felony throughing them away outdoors. And I would have taken people to court and jail if necessary for that.
