I got this on sale item from the local Costco and feel like Evnroll putter or Scotty square back2. For me the head weight is 340g is little bit lighter so I ordered weight kit from Costco online. Actually I purchased the same one and returned it cause I did not like the function at that time without proper preparation but I'm confident this season it will work because I've practiced more and more with this KS1. Many people emphasizing on the price but I feel high end quality putter from KS1 also.
Bought it today. Will be testing it out with 4 rounds next week after we see the heat come back here in NSB. Will most likely order the weight kit in a week or so. As always Gabe very good information.
You are comparing very different putters…..your Ping is 25+ years old and was $50 and the Sacks Parente is a $500 putter. Also, Kirkland putter is useless without the weight kit.
Saks not a face balanced, it is a "Toe hang" is a quality of toe-balanced putters. The clubface of a toe-balanced putter will, when the shaft of the putter is balanced lengthwise across a golfer's finger, be angled toward the ground. In other words, the toe of such a putter will hang down, pointing toward the ground.
When a putter is face balanced, it will point straight up in the air when the club is balancing at the balance point. You can test if your putter is face balanced by holding the club with your finger at its balance point when it is parallel to the ground and seeing if the face of the club points up in the air.
I laughed….being a ping zing2 diehard.
Ping lag dominated the other two.. you "not forgiving hard to control and don't love it". Immediately hit horrific lags with that other money stick….that u use daily BTW …and blame the stroke. BUT PING which has decades of evidence on its side to the contrary caused u issues.
Ping is a light putter and having used it along with dozens of other brands and styles can attest it is unquestionably best for distance control of any I've ever touched for multiple build/design reasons.
As to the Kirkland it is a viable option and for that reason I appreciated the video.
I had to GREATLY recalibrate your estimated age when u said college graduate 2003.
Best of those is that ZING2 ! Whole golf world is kidding themselves and us pretending there is anything before or since that rolls it better!
I just bought one as it was $50 off, what a deal! It allows me to buy the extra weight set for fine tuning.
I still use a Ping anser 2. It has a very small sweet spot. I am stepping up finally and getting a Bettinardi Queen B6
I won a Kirkland putter at an outing. I was going to sell it but thought I would give it a try. To my suprise I really liked it..better than my Odessy and Ping that I rotate. Ended up selling my other putter and keeping the Kirkland. My brother has a 400 dollar Scotty and they look and feel identical.
You were great on those short putts..I think I'll look into getting the Kirkland…I played the Kirkland ball it was a good one…

Better than a Scotty? A Costco putter? Come on folks, let’s get real. Is the Costco putter good? Possibly, but don’t kid yourselves thinking it’s better than a Scotty. Psh, unreal!

I'm getting my brother this putter and weight kit for his birthday. He's terrible on the green and hopefully this will turn that around for him.
My longtime putter has been letting me down bigtime lately. Im going to go pick one of these up tomorrow and see how it rolls. Worst that happens is i return it and go back to my old putter. Love costco return policy
Test this putter with the weight set and it goes from a good putter to a "great" putter and will compete with any putter out there.
The weight set should be a default part of the putter selling package.

Enjoyed the review but a having a low balance point is not what face balanced means. In order for a putter to be called face balanced it must be a putter where the face, faces upwards when you balance the shaft on your finger.

Bought this putter and also got the weight kit. For me, the 15 gram weights rather than the stock 10 or heaviest 20 gram combo felt just right. Really nice now for the $. Should be a great investment opportunity as this will probably be a collector’s item.Thanks.
The weight adjustability is a very nice feature on the Costco Putter. Depending on the course you might want to add or take weight out of the putter. I made the mistake a week ago of taking the Kirkland to Torrey Pines and not changing the weight on it. The greens at Torrey Pines were wicked fast and I had the heavier weights on it for the courses I normally play. If you like a heavier putter or the ability to adjust the weight the Costco is a good reasonably priced putter.
Another great review. Good to see theres some good cheap options out there as well. Would like to see some quality testing as well. Will it rust if it gets wet? I wonder sometimes about cheap clubs if they also use cheap componets that might break easy. It definalty looks like it will make a solid putt tho.
Another very nice review. A guy at the club I am a member of bought one just for the heck of it a loves it. I have yet to try it myself, but hopefully he will let me roll it soon.
Scotty all day long. But you cant argue the convenience of buying a putter, a $1 hotdog, and underwear in bulk all at once.

Definitely doesn't have the look of a budget putter. I'm too attached to me current putter to try something new though.
we can get this here, but they want to charge $250 AUD which is a nearly 50% more than in the US, and another $55 if you want the weight kit. this is comparable to the lower end Taylormade TP putters. Its still half what scotty would cost, but seems to perform well!
A real good deal if you like a Ping Anser Knock off. Scotty does make mallets that are forged aluminum Futura that feels like a blade. I found a mint condition one on eBay for $150….Chose your poison. If they go in the hole…Keep it..

Good review again Gabe. My Rossa Monza is not performing at the moment. I know it is me, not the club but if the Kirkland was available here, for that price I would give it a try.
i own the putter and just bought the wedges this week. i am not the best putter and just a average golfer. If you dont have the game their is no need to buy expensive clubs these seem to have great value for a higher handicap golfer ! thnxz for the review
I just did the same with new irons. Wanted forged but didnt want to pay $1300 so I tried the ben Hogan forged PTx Pros. Loved them and ordered a set. Got a 10% discount and the took my trade which were ping g400s. $550 for forged…..no brainer….
