I just finished watching the series tonight MAY-19-2022, 10:00 pm GMT and I can't stop crying and there's no1 around to console me. I have always avoid sad endings in movies but I don't get this eh this hit me so bad, so bad i'm still crying as I type this maybe cos I understand the emotions better than others that watched it as well. The whole cast did a really good job I was moved and more than impressed . the red sleeve is a great movie and I'm glad I got to watch even doh it took a while. I love it so much.

She was careful to cover it up by joking with her friends about them having a crush on him too.She stayed that way with him in their married life to keep her sanity by her mischievousness and provoking his intelligence into a guessing game. Which filled their relationship with laughter. Women are generally clever in being perceptive of dangers and warmth in a person. Deok Im quickly figured out that the Queen was a dangerous and powerful woman with whom one cannot be aligned with. His mother was a cowardly woman even though she was smart. The concubines were all hyenas plotting for power to use the prince for the power of their own clans.Choice was important as a assertion of individual freedom. She chose to be his woman only by his choosing ( favoured sanggung- will not be considered part of the family)even though it may ostracize her if his interest did not continue sexually and mentally. Well acted, and a fitting end, anyone who knew the true history couldn’t expect it any other way. However her wilful stubbornness brought her a lot of grief, which was of her own making. The Crown Prince San, had to consider his position as well. Two very strong characters and temperaments trying to make a relationship work, within the palace machinations, where many nefarious deeds were afoot.
No easy task.

I'm watching the 2007 version of this same story, told in 77 episodes. "Lee San: Wind of the Palace." I'm enjoying it except for Han Ji-min's portrayal of Sung Yeon. She's so hestitant and meek that she's just ineffective…not the pistol that Lee Se-young portrays. It always feels like she either forgot her lines or they didn't bother to write any for her.
Wow, the ending is too sad and too BRUTAL ! He lost their son, then he lost his lover and their 2nd child along with her ! Can anyone in real life survive this kind of tragedy ? The only thing I like about the ending is that he loved her til the end, even though he tried to forget her, but in the end, she is still the love of his life.
