The fact that it's one piece CNC milled already blew everything else away in this price point.
I only bought one because I didn't want to spend 300 USD to get back in the game. I would've bought an oldschool anser but everything is expensive these days. I love the idea of beating my friends with a Kirkland putter.
I just bought one last night at Costco and they actually had one on display that I could pick up and hold and stuff so that was a plus and also the price was dropped to $99 instead of $140 so it seemed like a fantastic deal to me!
I got one myself beginning of the year rick with the weights and im really happy with it i put on the 15s on it and the balls rolls alot better than the 10s i liked how it was decent price compared to the other brands for what you paid for with the weights its actually worth the buys for someone new to golf and wants a decent putter for a fair price.
I took one out of the box yesterday at Costco lol. I put it back. A employee at Costco told me that Odyssey makes it but I have no way of knowing. He also told me that callaway makes the kirkland balls. I don't recall who he said made the wedges but I think he said titleist. I took all this info with a grain of salt because I cannot verify any of the info and it's not like he is the CEO or anything lol.
The putter wasn't purchased by me even though it was on sale for $100.
I just picked up one of these today on sale for $99.00. Awesome deal!
I just picked this up in a lefty version. It’s sold for $110 online. I was skeptical at first, but after its performance on the course, it was no trouble getting over the Costco branding. From what I can tell, I’d guess that it’s made either by Ping (similar to Vault 2.0) or Cobra (King Vintage Sport 45). And since Cobra has a set sold by Costco now, it would not surprise me.
Why buy this over established brands? Price. Cleveland’s Huntington Beach putter comes closest at $179. Do putters really need to be $200+? I don’t think so, but then again, people will spend $500 for a driver they’ll hit fewer times than a putter.

On sale for $109.99 now! Might give it a try. I can always return it if I don't like it. Costco is awesome.
I bought one and figured if I didn't like it I'd being it back, and at Costco you actually get a refund, not store credit like golf shops. I've kept it in the bag along with the Kirkland wedges (minus the lob) and have been very happy with them.
I have this putter. Super nice. I don’t have the extra weights but might be buying them soon. It’s a little light but I got use too it. Costco is the best. The wedges are amazing too. A guy at the local golf shop thought they were vokeys lol
You take Kirkland to task for a garrish-looking putter, but in your video of PING putters, (April 19, 2021) you don't mention Ping's huge block all-caps letters on its putter. Equally as distracting.
Hey Rick on this ks1 putter I have a serious question to ask you. Is this putter more of a face balanced with the 10 g weights in it or does it have a slight toe hang. I've been interested in this putter for a while but recently learned. That I need a slight toe hang or a balanced face putter. Thanks for the information in advance from Arkansas here in the US.
Why? Cost. Your review did not justify a putter at double the price. You say, you prefer the feel of the more expensive putter. Is it £130 improvement in feel. How many more putts did you make per additional pound. Yes, a putter can be hugely personal but many club golfers and many starting out just want something that works. I suspect snobbery will stop some buying one. I’m certainly going to give it a go as my putter is over 20 years old.
I play this putter now and it feels very good like a classic Scotty
The only issue I had with the Kirkland putter was it was an inch too long for me. I mic'd the shaft and found the shaft is .370 for a good length of the shaft. SO,,,,,,I took the head off, removed an inch and re-glued. No big deal!
(I do make clubs to I had all the tools) I now love this putter. I will also say $35 dollars for a weight kit is goofy.
Lead tape fits fine and really doesn't show when done correctly.. Cheers
Used to work at a TP factory in US. Kirkland is also Costco's toilet paper brand, and probably lots of other stuff. Wonder why they branded their golf clubs the same as their toilet paper
A couple of things: In Canada the Costco store has three putters on display with the 10, 15 and 20 weights so you can feel the club, albeit can't actually hit a ball. I personal like the idea that it is delivered in a box protecting it during shipping. I had to buy the weights as I found the standard 10 too light, 20 a bit heavy and the 15 feels just about right for me. To put it in perspective for the price it's a good putter.
Costco should invest in golf brand. Name should be something other than Kirkland signature. How about name after cofounder sinegal golf ?
Hey Rick, my wife and I just got home from Costco. The supply chain is here in the US is real bad so the Kirkland putter is on my Christmas list and Costco had it in stock so my wife bought it. In January I will let you know how I like it

I just bought it on sale for $99. And if I don’t like it I’ll take it back in a year because that’s the brilliance of Costco is their return policy. And since the weight set is extra I saved on that too.
Normally I would not buy a putter from Costco but I lost my putter on a golf trip and my buddy had this putter and I used it for 2 rounds. To be honest it was one of the best putters I ever used. I loved it. for 140.00 it is a steal and the great thing is it is from Costco so if you use it a few rounds and don`t like it you can return it for a FULL refund. Golf shops would knowck off 50-75.00 after one round for a returned putter. I hope Costco starts selling drivers next.
